GoDaddy Adds Instant AI Video to Its Platform

• GoDaddy is introducing Instant Video to its GoDaddy Studio app, allowing entrepreneurs to create “influencer-quality videos”.
• Instant Video uses AI to generate slogans based on video clips and user-uploaded images, with no prior editing knowledge needed.

Website builder GoDaddy has added a new Instant Video feature to its GoDaddy Studio app. GoDaddy users will be able to create their own videos with zero prior editing knowledge, which according to the company will “quickly and easily meet the growing need for video-based digital marketing and social commerce.”

The GoDaddy Studio app is available on iOS and Android, allowing GoDaddy customers to create and design their own graphics for social and digital marketing purposes. This new addition brings video content into the mix. Online video is one of the most effective methods for reaching audiences, with 92% of global Internet users consuming it in one way or another.

According to GoDaddy, Instant Video will pick the most optimized video format for the content you wish to make – whether that be for social media promotion, product demos, or tutorial videos. These videos can then be seamlessly integrated into your GoDaddy website watermark-free. Instant Video also uses AI to create slogans and graphics for your video, generated through the existing library of the GoDaddy Studio app. 

This is not the first time GoDaddy has introduced an AI-powered tool to its website-building repertoire. Earlier in the year, we reported that GoDaddy had introduced a trio of AI tools, such as Digital Ads, allowing users to create their own ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram through AI generation.

As Laka Sriram, Vice President of Product Management for GoDaddy, said of the Instant Video announcement, “Branded video marketing is key to standing out online and GoDaddy Studio’s AI-powered Instant Video makes it easy for small business owners to create social media and video content quickly, without the need to be tech-savvy.”

Putting easy-to-use video creation in the hands of consumers for no extra cost is certainly a move that will go down well for GoDaddy users. It also maintains a consistency of AI tools being adapted for website building, which we’ve noticed in the past year.
