Wix has rolled out a new AI-powered tool, Business Launcher, to help you get up and running online. The three-step process asks for your skills and experience, suggests personalized business ideas, and generates a detailed action plan to help you succeed.

It’s the latest AI feature to be introduced by the website builder. Business Launcher is free and currently only available in English – users can purchase optional upgrades, such as domain names.

I wanted to test out the new Business Launcher myself, so I clicked “Get Started” on the main homepage to get the ball rolling.

#1. Build My Profile

Wix took me to a screen where I could build my profile, essentially gathering my skills and work experience in one place. I found the layout very similar to Wix’s AI website builder, and the conversational approach made the process feel very natural.

The Business Launcher asked me about my overall goals, skills, hobbies or interests, and educational and work background. Alternatively, I could upload my resume to complete my profile automatically.

After I answered all of the questions, Wix told me my profile was ready and that, based on my responses, it would generate three business ideas for me.

#2. Analyze Business Ideas

Once ready, I clicked “Generate Business Ideas” to proceed to step two. After a few seconds, the Business Launcher tool presented three personalized ideas for me to choose from. With my test, these included professional writing services and a review blog since that matched my skills most closely.

#3. Review My Custom Launch Kit

I assessed each of the Business Launcher’s business ideas and chose to explore the “Books Review Blog” path. After clicking the button, I moved on to my personalized business report. The report included a lot of information, including:

  • An overview of the idea
  • Related skills I already have and skills I should develop
  • Strategies to earn money with the business idea – with my book blog example, this included affiliate marketing and online book clubs
  • An assessment of the current market
  • Online discoverability and content topics I should focus on

At the end of the report, I was shown what my Business Launcher launch kit would provide, such as content creation tools, an SEO setup checklist, domain suggestions, and more.

Wix then brought my business idea to life with its AI website builder – the content and style really matched the vision and, since Wix directed me to its editor immediately, I could make any extra tweaks if necessary. My account dashboard was completely personalized based on my business profile and idea, and it was great to see that Wix had already set me up with the relevant apps and tools I’d need to manage and grow my business.

Benefits of Using Wix Business Launcher

Yaya Aaronsohn, Head of Brand Maker and Business Launcher at Wix commented on the release:

“We designed the Business Launcher to function like a personal business assistant, guiding users from the initial spark of an idea all the way to full business execution. By combining users’ work experience and interests with Wix’s extensive market research, the Business Launcher offers personalized ideas supported by detailed market analysis, SEO strategies, and revenue planning. It equips users with everything they need, from a custom website to marketing tools, ensuring they can confidently launch their business.”

If you’re looking to start a side hustle or want to build a business from scratch, the Business Launcher tool is ideal since it gives you a good foundation to start from. The personalized recommendations, tips, and actionable plans, help beginners and anyone less tech-savvy get online quickly and easily. However, because everything is AI-powered, I do recommend taking some time to review the generated visuals and content since it won’t always be a direct match with what you’re after.

Overall, I was pretty impressed by the Business Launcher tool and think it’s a great new addition to the Wix ecosystem. Not many website builders offer AI tools that help you at the business idea stage, so this was refreshing to see.
