Google has created a new centralized hub of resources for small businesses. The dedicated page brings together Google’s digital tools, including AI features, and advice for businesses operating in the Google ecosystem, whether that’s setting up a Google Business Profile or advertising on YouTube.
With Google regularly introducing new tools and the search landscape evolving, this is a valuable resource for brands getting started or for businesses looking to wrap their heads around the latest updates.
What's Included With Google's SMB Hub?
Google introduced its new resource hub for small businesses earlier this week. In a blog post, Selin Song, President of Google Customer Solutions said this:
“Seeing how entrepreneurs have used our tools to turn ideas into legacies continues to inspire us to do what we do. That’s why today, we’re launching a new resource hub to help small businesses thrive using digital tools — and sharing stories from a few companies that are already doing just that.”
The Small Business Essentials provide:
- An overview of Google’s digital business tools (including the Merchant Center, Google Ads, and YouTube)
- Success stories from businesses for inspiration
- Tips for using Google’s AI features
- Recommendations for building your website (with promotions for platforms and website builders, such as Shopify and Wix)

Business Tips for a Digital Age
With so many tools and AI features for businesses to use nowadays, Google’s SMB resource hub provides digestible tips and beginner-friendly overviews. So, even if you have no experience with Google Ads, using AI, or promoting your business profile online, you can lean on this guidance.
The aim is to help businesses adopt the power of AI and find opportunities for growth with Google’s suite of tools. According to Google:
“Digital tools have helped level the playing field: 82% of small businesses attribute their revenue growth directly to digital ads, and 79% say these tools help them compete with much larger companies. Through tools like Google Ads, Business Profile and Merchant Center, we can bring the best of AI to support these businesses by streamlining their advertising efforts and helping them stand out to customers.”
Google goes on to share that its tools and the newly launched hub are there to support businesses that lack huge budgets, a team of marketing experts, or advanced technology.
The mini-site is accessible to all, and provides links to free trials to website builders, Google Workspace, and more.
