Thanks to the TikTok ban delay, it looks like we all get to spend a bit more time on our favorite app! Make the most of this time by continuing to build your community and following. One of the best ways to do this is by taking part in trends.

If your business needs help finding TikTok trends for April, I’ve got you covered. I’ve been keeping up to date with all the trends as they come in, and I’ve picked out those that have had the best success for small businesses like yours. I’ve gathered three examples and included step-by-step instructions, alongside a link to the sound you’ll need to use, so it couldn’t be easier to get involved.

🎵 Trending sound for this video: Spring into Summer

Everyone has their guilty pleasures, that thing they can’t live without. Whether it’s a six-year-old lipstick or the latest Harry Styles song, this TikTok trend for April is all about going public with your feelings – AKA, “hard launching” your undying love.

Typically, the term is used to describe the announcement of a new romantic relationship, but TikTok users are being creative as ever, hard-launching their love for iced coffee, baked beans, and even Canva (I feel that). Small businesses have used it as a golden opportunity for a humble brag about their bestsellers or as a way to announce a brand new product.

🎵 Trending sound for this video: Hometown Glory, Adele

If you’ve ever dealt with a tough situation in an unorthodox way, this trend is for you. Users have been describing their methods for overcoming struggles on their own, which range from more humorous options, like catching a flight or adopting a dog, to going on self-help journeys. And, coupled with the Adele soundtrack, some of the videos are a bit of a tear-jerker.

Unlike lots of the TikTok trends I’ve covered this year, this one taps into a more serious side of owning a business. Small businesses have been using it to show how they started their brand when going through hardship, or to show a specific action they took, such as launching a new product or entirely rebranding.

🎵 Trending sound for this video: Northern Attitude, Noah Kahan and Hozier

It’s a known fact that Hozier has the voice of an angel, and a soundbite – more accurately, a yell – from his song “Northern Attitude” with Noah Kahan has sent the people of TikTok spiraling. It’s difficult to understand what’s so impressive about this yell without hearing it, so click the sound above and give it a listen! In a nutshell, the gritty and heartfelt note evokes a sense of freedom and euphoria.

This feel-good trend shows other moments that elicit the same emotions in people as Hozier’s yell. Think adrenaline-boosting skydives, giving birth, or getting married, and – this is where businesses enter the chat – life achievements and milestones.
