If you need help creating aesthetic images or graphics for your content marketing strategy, I recommend giving Canva AI a try. With this AI-powered tool that’s built into Canva, the popular graphic design platform, I could generate unique content designs based on a simple prompt. I could also use the tool’s chatbot interface to make additional tweaks or generate more design options.

After selecting an AI-generated design and picking a color scheme, I clicked on the “Use Canva Editor” button to customize it. I could add text, shapes, clipart, and even charts to make the graphic more my own.

But be warned, a significant number of customization options were locked behind Canva’s premium plans, so you may need to upgrade for more choice.

I found Canva AI’s chatbot interface easy to use. After typing in a prompt for a LinkedIn banner, it generated four different designs for me in under 10 seconds. It also suggested specific tweaks to make, like adding a more modern color scheme or inserting pictures of abstract geometric shapes.

To create videos for your content channels, I suggest exploring InVideo. It’s a powerful video marketing tool that can generate content for you, and you don’t need any scripting, filming, or editing skills to get started. Its user-friendly interface impressed me, since I could easily create shortform and longform videos from scratch.

When creating a new video, I had to:

1. Enter an AI prompt about the video I wanted (the more instructions the better)
2. Tweak my video settings (like video length and visual style)
3. Press “Generate” and let the AI work its magic

I had to wait a few minutes for my finished design, but this wait time was expected due to the size and complexity of video files.

Other useful InVideo tools included:

• Video templates – If I had a specific project in mind, like creating a product video, I could use one of InVideo’s templates to help. For example, I used a set template to create a short ecommerce video, featuring a human avatar that talked about key product features.
• Media library – I used this library to store content I might want to feature in future videos.
• Mobile app (iOS & Android) – This let me edit videos on the go.

• InVideo has a free plan, but it comes with only 10 video minutes, four exports, and one AI credit per week. InVideo watermarks will also appear in your videos.

Brandwell, a comprehensive content marketing platform, can generate SEO articles out of a single keyword. To use this tool, all I had to do was input one keyword from my keyword research, and it generated an entire article for me in a few minutes. I’m talking an optimized title, introduction, table of contents, and additional information separated by bullet points, tables, and relevant headings.

As a writer, I was genuinely blown away by what BrandWell’s AI had created. The text didn’t just read like AI-generated slop – it flowed well.

With my article generated, I could also make the following tweaks:

• Change the primary keyword, adjust word count range, and include topical experience for EEAT
• Analyze links that the AI might’ve added to the article
• Create an SEO-friendly URL that reflected my article’s content

• BrandWell doesn’t have a free plan, but you can trial the platform by generating one article for free.

🤔 What Can Jasper.ai Do?

Jasper.ai often appears on many lists covering the best AI tools for content creation, and for good reason. It can create different types of content for you, from blog posts to ad copy, though I particularly liked its newsletter generator. Under the “Categories” section in the dashboard, you can select “Newsletter” and generate a professional email to send to subscribers.

To start, I had to describe my newsletter’s theme and fill in a prompt about the sections I’d like to include. For best results, I suggest adding additional information, like your target audience.

Jasper.ai can also come up with catchy subject lines, persuasive bullet points if you’re trying to sell a product or service, and Calls to Action that’ll catch your audience’s attention.

💸 How Much Does Jasper.ai Cost?

• Jasper.ai isn’t free to use.
• To access its 7-day free trial, you’ll need to enter your credit card information first.
• Its pricing starts from $39 per month (billed annually), but this gives you access to a full suite of generative tools covering newsletters, images, blog posts, product descriptions, and social media posts.

🤔 What Can Describely Do?

If writing product descriptions takes up a significant chunk of your day, I recommend Describely. When testing the tool, I could optimize existing product descriptions from a pre-existing online store, or create new descriptions from scratch. 

To generate new product descriptions, I first had to:

1. Upload my products manually or via CSV
2. After upload, tick the products I wanted to generate descriptions for
3. Select the “three sparkles” icon
4. Click “Generate Content” 
5. Select “Start Bulk Generate”

Describely then generated fresh product descriptions for me. The copy was effective, featuring rich, descriptive words and punchy bullet points highlighting key features. For best results, Describely can also use your store’s current product descriptions to identify a tone of voice that all new descriptions will be in.

If you’re concerned about product page SEO, Describely could also generate meta titles and meta descriptions for each listing. They all contained a primary keyword too, which is fantastic for SEO.

• You can use Describely on a pay-as-you-go basis, with unlimited product description generations costing $0.75 per product.
• On the free plan, you can generate unlimited product descriptions for up to five different products, but this won’t be enough for large inventories!

🤔 What Can Copymatic Do?

Like other tools on the market, Copymatic can generate SEO-focused articles and product descriptions, but it’s particularly good for blog posts. After signing up for free with my Gmail account, I clicked on the dashboard’s “Blog Post Writer” option to begin. I followed a five-step process, which included:

1. Adding key details about my desired blog post (Like what I wanted to write about and an optional target keyword)
2. Generating a title (I could also write my own if I wanted)
3. Generating a blog introduction (You receive multiple options to choose from)
4. Generating an outline
5. Generating a paragraph for each subheading

This process was easy to follow, leaving me with a AI-generated blog post on my chosen topic. I was pleasantly surprised by the writing style, which felt warm and personable.

However, I did notice some key limitations when using Copymatic. For one, the blog post wasn’t completely SEO-friendly. I had to tweak it myself so that it adhered to basic SEO principles. For example, I added focus keywords to the title and introduction myself.

You’ll need to restructure the content before publishing as well. Though the paragraphs were succinct, I noticed that the headings weren’t formatted into the right H1s, H2s, and H3s, and I needed to add bullet points and tables to break up the information further.

• Copymatic has a free trial, but you can only generate up to 1,500 words – this might not be enough for some longform articles!
• Its pricing plans range between $19-$99 per month (billed annually).
• The cheapest plan at $19 per month is more affordable than many competitors, but only one person is allowed to use the tool at a time on this plan.

🤔 What Can Wix AI Logo Generator Do?

This tool is an AI logo generator that can help you create a professional logo design for your website, which is useful if you’re trying to perfect your business branding.

To set up, I spoke to Wix’s AI chatbot that asked me questions about my desired logo. This included:

1. My business name
2. What my business does
3. Its tagline

After filling in the questions, Wix left me with multiple logo options to choose from – and I was impressed by the quality of the designs available! If needed, I could also use the design tools provided to customize my logo, changing the colors, adding new text, or tweaking the imagery.

• Wix requires a one-off payment of $49 to purchase a standalone logo, which can be pricey in comparison to other logo makers on the market.
• You can download a sample logo for free, but it’s poor quality.
• You can also purchase your logo alongside a Wix website for $9.59 per month (billed annually).

Though you may feel eager to try some of the best AI tools for content creators, you need to remember that these tools aren’t perfect and still require human supervision for best results. Below, I’ve explained how you can use them effectively:

• Train your entire team – For an efficient workflow without any blockers, the team should have a strong understanding of how your business uses AI. This includes knowing what tools you use, their limitations, and how to use them. To make sure that everyone’s on the same page, you could also provide each colleague with clear, written guidelines.
• Be aware of plagiarism – AI models use information that already exists on the internet, so your AI-generated content won’t be 100% unique. Avoid potential plagiarism by adding traces of your unique brand personality during the editing process. Where appropriate, share firsthand experiences and genuine advice, too.
• Factcheck the information provided – AI-powered search engines have been known to produce AI hallucinations, which are AI-generated responses containing false or misleading information. Though it may be time consuming, I recommend that you always fact check your content yourself first!
• Know how to evaluate AI tool performance – Before you add AI tools to your workflow, it’s important to know how to measure success and ensure that they’re helping you achieve your business goals. That’s why I recommend coming up with key performance indicators (KPIs) to track. By tracking metrics like production times and conversion rates, you can see if your new AI-powered workflow is making a difference or not.

Despite my initial concerns about AI, I’ve realised that it’s not here to replace our innate creativity, but to help us come up with new ideas, increase company productivity, and offer useful suggestions on how we can improve our content quality.

However, not all the best AI tools for content creation I’ve listed will be suitable for your business. Take advantage of free plans and free trials to experiment with different options.
