Businesses have found huge success through TikTok LIVE, allowing brands and creators to interact with their audience in real time. And one of the hottest events of the summer is taking place on the social media app: Community Fest 2025.

If your business is using TikTok to engage with your audience, this event aims to celebrate creators using TikTok’s livestreaming features. With TikTok’s US ban postponed again by President Trump, the community event gives brands and creators a chance to reap the rewards while they still can.

What is TikTok's Community Fest?

TikTok’s Community Fest 2025 marks the start of TikTok’s LIVE Fest, a global event within the app that runs for months and celebrates live content from TikTok creators. Community Fest focuses specifically on the creators and communities that form and grow through TikTok LIVE content. The festival encourages creators to boost engagement and gives consumers a chance to connect with their favorite TikTok accounts.

Community Fest 2025 runs from June 15 to July 5.

TikTok announced the start of this year’s event online, with the Head of TikTok LIVE, Adam Wang, expressing excitement about Community Fest:

“With TikTok LIVE, our mission is to help creators and viewers connect, grow, and thrive in real time. Community Fest is a celebration of the incredible talent and generosity we see every day on LIVE, where creators turn moments into movements and viewers into communities. We’re proud to support this initiative and can’t wait to see what our LIVE community across the globe builds together next.”

Live Creators in the Spotlight

Community Fest gives TikTok LIVE creators a chance to battle it out and become a top-ranked LIVE icon. Interact with your community, unlock rewards, and boost your rankings in the leaderboard. Here’s how you can increase your points:

  • Compete in individual daily tasks and Fan Club missions
  • Generate videos using the #CommunityFest2025 tag
  • Use the Community Fest effect in live streams for points
  • Receive Community Fest gifts from viewers

The very top creators (those with the most awards and points) will be invited to walk the red carpet at TikTok’s Global LIVE event.

Who can take part in TikTok's Community Fest?

Any US creator can take part in TikTok’s LIVE Fest event, including the Community Fest. It’s accessible in over 50 regions, with TikTok recently expanding the event to include Japan, the Middle East, and North Africa.

TikTok Booming Despite Ban

TikTok’s Community Event is taking place against a backdrop of uncertainty for the social media app. President Trump granted TikTok a third extension last week, pushing the US ban back for another 90 days. The new deadline is set for September 17, 2025.

While it’s important to diversify your channels and back up your existing TikTok content (just in case), a deal could be reached to save TikTok at any time between now and September. That means you shouldn’t pass up on the opportunities and rewards granted by an event like Community Fest, since it’s a great way to encourage content creation, boost sales, build brand awareness, and connect directly with your target audience.

According to TikTok, roughly 130 million creators go live on the app every day, tapping into the billions of app users at the click of a button. And if that’s not enough of an incentive to join in with the festival, data from TikTok shows that businesses and creators generated over eight million hours of shopping sessions in the US through TikTok LIVE in 2024.

So, there are clearly plenty of benefits for small business owners to get involved with Community Fest. With 76% of TikTok Shop users buying a product through a livestream last year, creating live content is a successful strategy for any brand to adopt.

Will you be participating in TikTok’s Community Fest? I’d love to hear from you in the comments!
