With an increasing number of small businesses using AI website builders and AI image generators to create content online, you may be interested in trying out generative AI yourself. When it comes to establishing your brand identity, there’s one type of AI tool that can help: an AI logo generator.

Don’t have the budget to hire a logo designer? Or does your business branding need a speedy redesign? To help you create professional logo designs, reduce costs, and save time, I’ve shortlisted the five best AI logo generators on the market, and outlined their pricing, key features, and pros and cons.

💡 Key Takeways

  • AI logo generators can help you create a professional logo for your website.
  • You often need to pay to use these tools, but some options like Logo.com do have free plans.
  • This tool is recommended for businesses that don’t want to pay for a designer, or need to quickly create a new design.
  • Most AI logo generators come with built-in editors to help you customize your design.
  • Each tool has its own onboarding experience, like Wix’s AI chatbot.

Create your next website with Wix’s AI builder. Chat with its AI chatbot to generate a unique design based on your key needs (and there’s no credit card required to get started!)

1. Wix AI Logo Generator

  • Why it’s great: Wix’s AI chatbot and customization options make this a versatile tool for small businesses
  • Wix’s pricing: To purchase your logo, costs start from a one-off payment of $49, which includes full commerical usage rights and high-res logo files
You don’t need to be using Wix’s website builder to use its logo generator. It’s a separate tool you can use to AI generate and purchase a logo for your business.

My Experience With Wix’s AI Logo Generator

I’ve put Wix at the top of my best AI logo makers list because of its unique AI chatbot feature, which asks you for details about your ideal logo. To create a logo, the chatbot asked me three key questions about:

  1. The name of my business
  2. What my business does
  3. What my business tagline is

After I filled in the chatbot’s AI prompts (this only took a few minutes), Wix provided me with a long list of potential logo designs to choose from. I loved how it also suggested different logo color palettes based on my business’ branding, and that I could adjust my brand name and tagline if needed.

Once happy with my logo choice, I clicked on the “Customize Your Logo” button to adjust my design. There were a variety of ways to change how it looked, which included tweaking the color palette and adding additional text, shapes, symbols, or images.

With my logo complete, I could buy a standalone logo from $49 (a one-off payment), or purchase my logo alongside a website builder plan if I wanted to create a website to match. Pricing for the logo and website began from $9.59 per month (billed annually) and came with other features like Wix’s AI website builder.

Though Wix lets you download your logo for free, this is only a sample logo that’s poor quality. I wouldn’t recommend adding it to your homepage design when building a website.

Pros & Cons

Not sure if Wix’s logo generator is right for you? Weigh up the pros and cons below:

😍 Pros 🙁 Cons
Features a user-friendly AI chatbot that takes you through the design process Users with more design experience might not enjoy having their hands held by the AI chatbot
Generates plenty of logo options to choose from The free logo sample is poor quality
Its design tools help you make your logo your own The one-off payment of $49 is pricey

2. Fiverr Logo Maker

  • Why it’s great: Fiverr’s AI-generated logos are based on the work of Fiverr freelancers, so expect high-quality designs in different styles
  • Fiverr pricing: To purchase your logo, costs start from $30 (one-off payment)

My Experience With Fiverr’s AI Logo Generator

Fiverr has one of the best AI logo generators around due to its designs, which are inspired by creative works from Fiverr’s freelance designers. Because of this, I felt confident that I could generate a professional logo to wow target audiences with.

To generate my designs, Fiverr asked for these six important details:

  1. My business name
  2. My slogan
  3. My industry (I could choose up to three)
  4. Design elements I’d like in my logo (e.g. flowers, stars, cats, etc)
  5. The style of logo I’d like (e.g. minimalist, vintage, etc)
  6. My brand’s personality (e.g. accessible or premium, classic or modern, etc)
A user interface step showing logo style options: Minimalist, Hand-Drawn (selected), 3D, Geometric, Vintage, and Cartoon designs.
I loved the option to choose a specific style for my logo. I didn't see this option on the other AI logo generators. Source: Website Builder Expert

With these questions filled in, I clicked the “Make My Logo” button and received a list of logo designs in seconds. Though Fiverr didn’t create as many logo options as Wix did, I liked that each option highlighted the Fiverr artist who had inspired it.

Be aware that the quality of the designs do vary, so you may need to play around with the prompts until you find the right logo for your business. Some looked more sophisticated than others, while a few designs felt quite bland in comparison.

I found some Fiverr designs more elaborate than others, but I liked the variation. Source: Website Builder Expert

I could also click on a generated logo to preview it in another tab, or tap the “Customize This Design” button to tweak it myself. I had access to some great design features from the editor, like an “Auto-align” option to keep my logo centered, different layout variations, and the ability to change my logo’s shape.

With Fiverr, you can’t download your logo for free. One-off payments start from $30 and come with full commercial rights, high-quality PNG files, and a transparent background. If your business needs print-ready logos, it’s recommended to pay for the professional logo package costing $60, which is expensive.

💡 Top Tip!

If you have the budget or time for it, I recommend creating a few variations of your generated logo. Detailed logos look better on your website and in digital and print marketing material, while simplified logos are better suited as social media icons.

Pros & Cons

You can use the table below to assess Fiverr’s pros and cons and make an informed decision:

😍 Pros 🙁 Cons
Adding an artistic touch, the AI-generated logos are based on the work of Fiverr freelancers. Though the logos are professionally designed, they can vary in quality
The setup process is user-friendly, asking simple questions to get you started You can't download your logo for free
You can easily tweak your design using Fiverr's design tools You need to pay $60 to access your logos in print-ready format

3. Looka

  • Why it’s great: Looka’s logo customization options are a highlight, coming with plenty of design options to choose from
  • Looka pricing: To purchase your logo, one-off payments start from $20

My Experience With Looka’s AI Logo Generator

Looka made the cut mainly because I enjoyed using its editor after picking my initial logo. There were numerous design options to choose from. However, I was slightly disappointed by the logos it had generated for me at first, since they didn’t feel 100% tailored to my needs.

As we’ve seen with the other best AI logo creators on this list, Looka will ask you a series of questions about your business first. This includes:

  1. Your industry
  2. Which logo designs you already like the look of (I had to select some from a list)
  3. Colors to include based on their associated emotions (e.g. blue for trust, purple for royalty, etc)
  4. Your company name (alongside an optional slogan)
  5. Symbols to include (e.g. flowers, leaves, etc)

💡 Top Tip!

It’s useful to know about color theory when designing your logo, since it’ll help you create a design that’s consistent with your branding and will appeal to your audience’s inner thoughts and feelings. For example, if you’re creating a luxury brand logo, you might want to lean into elegant colors like gold, black, or white, and pair them with a minimalist design.

Next, Looka generated a list of logos in just a few seconds. Though the designs included the colors and symbols I’d identified during the onboarding process, some of the logo options didn’t align with the branding I had in mind. For example, though I wanted a sophisticated logo design for a florist, many of the generated options didn’t look elevated enough.

On the other hand, I was impressed by the design features available during the customization phase. Though you had standard features, like the ability to change the font and colors, there were also a few AI features to try out too. For example, Looka generated a color palette for me based on a single prompt, while its AI also suggested different symbols I could add to my design.

Looka’s pricing starts from $20 (a one-off payment) to buy your logo. Though this is less expensive than the other AI logo generators on this list, you’ll only receive a low-resolution copy of your logo. If you want a higher quality logo in multiple file formats, you’ll need to pay $65 instead.

Pros & Cons

To see if Looka’s logo generator is right for your business needs and budget, refer to the pros and cons table below:

😍 Pros 🙁 Cons
Its cheapest payment option is only $20 The cheapest payment option doesn't offer the best image quality or file formats
The onboarding process was easy to follow It's $65 to access a high-quality version of your logo, a steep price jump from $20
Logo generation took only a few seconds to complete Some designs don't feel 100% tailored to your onboarding answers

4. Logo.com

  • Why it’s great: Logo.com is a fitting choice for your business if you appreciate AI support as you create your design
  • Logo.com pricing: To purchase your logo, Logo.com has a free plan! Its paid plans start from $5 per month (billed annually)

My Experience With Logo.com’s AI Logo Generator

For Logo.com’s onboarding process, I had to fill in a lot of key information about my business, which included:

  1. My business name
  2. My industry
  3. A slogan
  4. What kind of person I am (e.g. a business owner, a non-profit organiser, etc)
  5. Keywords related to my brand

What I liked about this onboarding process was the AI support the entire way through. For example, when Logo.com’s AI asked me to enter in my slogan, it had AI-generated a few ideas for me. That way, if you ever get stuck, Logo.com can provide you with some useful pointers.

Similarly to Looka, I wasn’t 100% happy with all the designs Logo.com generated. Though a few were related to my brand and the onboarding information I’d filled in, some of them were quite far off in terms of the fonts and colors they featured.

That said, it was easy to adjust my brand keywords and regenerate the designs until I found one that hit the spot.

I found Logo.com’s editor hit and miss. It had many layout options to choose from, which were easy to customize. I could also change my logo’s fonts and color palette, or replace any iconography with something more fitting.

However, some of the design options didn’t feel advanced enough. Most of the logo icons to choose from had a clip art feel, making it tricky to add imagery that truly enhanced my logo.

With my final logo created, it was time to look at the pricing options. Unlike the other AI logo generators on this list, Logo.com has a free plan on which you can save and edit one logo and download four high-resolution logo files.

For advanced logo options, I recommend upgrading to the Pro plan or Pro Plus plan, both of which are billed annually. The Pro plan, at $5 per month, lets you download five logos, while the Pro Plus plan, at $12 per month, bumps that number up to 100 logos.

Pros & Cons

If you’re unsure if Logo.com is the AI logo generator for you, the following pros and cons table will give you a helping hand:

😍 Pros 🙁 Cons
Logo.com has helpful AI support during onboarding Not all of the logos generated will suit your business
It has a free plan There aren't many advanced design options available
You can make simple design edits to your logo Some of the logo icons feel like clip art

5. Brandmark

  • Why it’s great: Brandmark’s no-fuss logo generator is useful if you want to create a new logo quickly
  • Brandmark pricing: To purchase your logo, one-off payments start from $25

My Experience With Brandmark’s AI Logo Generator

The main thing I noticed about Brandmark was how easy it was to use. The onboarding experience took me a minute to complete, since it consisted of only three key stages:

  1. Filling in my business name and slogan
  2. Choosing brand keywords that reflected my business
  3. Picking a color palette out of six different options
A color style selection interface with six options: Simple, Vibrant, Organic, High Contrast, Dark, and Soft Pastel, plus color swatches below.

Brandmark AI generated a long list of logo designs. However, only the first few designs felt relevant to my business and featured imagery related to the brand keywords I picked during onboarding. The rest weren’t related to the information I’d entered at all, so I suggest selecting one of the first few designs on the list and tweaking it in the editor.

I wasn’t blown away by Brandmark’s editor. Unlike other AI logo generators like Wix and Looka, this editor was stripped-back to a limiting degree. There were only five different layout options to choose from, while I could only make simple edits like changing the symbol. But if you’re strapped for time and need to create a logo quickly, the editor’s simple interface will feel more like a blessing than a curse.

Price-wise, Brandmark has three payment options to choose from. Its cheapest option, at $25 (a one-off payment), comes with a PNG version of your logo. If you need more advanced options, like additional brand guidelines for your logo or business card designs, the pricier plans cost $65 and $175 – which may be quite expensive for small businesses.

Pros & Cons

Wondering if Brandmark if your best option? Use the pros and cons table below to decide:

😍 Pros 🙁 Cons
Brandmark's onboarding process is short and sweet Only a few of the logos generated aligned with my onboarding answers
Its editor is very easy to pick up The editor has limited design options, which restricts what you can create
You can create designs quickly The cheapest pricing option at $25 only comes with a low-resolution logo download
