(Valid only for your first upgrade / purchase)

It will work for any plans:

Plans Original Monthly Price * Offer Code Monthly Price

      Hi Isiah,
      Thank you for your comment.
You can only use this code once. So should you agree to pay by monthly installments, the offer of 10% will be taken off this.
      Natasha.

Thank you so much for really objectifying the different needs of people with real examples. It helps people with no web design experience be confident with their decisions & the money they put in. Also huge thanks for the offer code! 🙂

Glad to have you verify the reco’s i’ve had for squarespace. Thanks for the insight!

I have a domain name through google with a site on blogger. I want to transfer the domain and site to squarespace and see that I can do that but will I be paying twice? Google for the domain name and squarespace for the website?

      Hi Kahto,

I don’t think you’ll need to pay twice (other than to renew your domain with Google every few years), but if you want to take your domain, etc with you, then you’ll need to look into Domain mapping with Squarespace. You can read more about it in this guide.

Essentially, domain mapping involves changing some settings so that your domain stays registered with the host that you purchased it from, but will connect to your Squarespace site.

We also discuss transferring domains in more depth in this discussion.

Hopefully that clears things up for you,
      – Tom

    Jeremy,

Excellent review and a big help in deciding. Their are so many factors to consider in pricing and that can get really overwhelming when trying to decide what’s the most cost EFFECTIVE. So thanks for helping me sort through it and thanks even more for the SquareSpace coupon code!

    Hi,
I am considering setting up a business site with you. My question is does the business site come with the ability to sell online ? and also if I wanted to update my site to the commerce site at a later date is that possible ?

    Thanks

      Richie,

Squarespace is the website builder that you are interested in signing up with, not us. We just operate this blog and we’re not the actual website builder!

To answer your question, all of Squarespace’s plans include ecommerce / selling features. We have a discussion about their ecomemrce features here.

The tools are available for you to use at any time. So you don’t have to use them immediately.

      Hope this helps!

Jeremy, I’ve been referred to square space by my designer. I’m concerned about our not for profit website being vunerable to hackers. Need to find out how hack-proof squarespace really is. Hope you can help me, please.

    • Jeremy

      Hey Mike,

I think the best defense here is to have a very strong password and update it every few months. Nothing is 100% hack-proof and in my view, the biggest vulnerability is having a weak password. Make sure you include upper and lower cases, numbers and symbols (such as # %) into your password. Set a reminder to switch things up every few months. That’s your best defense.

From Squarespace’s perspective, they manage security on their end too to protect bots from “forcing” their way into users’ accounts. But if you have an easily guessible or weak password, that’s going to be the weakest, most vulnerable point.

Where were you guys a few days ago when I purchased my first domain and hosting through squarespace?! Lmao. Is there any way I can still use this? Ha. I was so set for WordPress but something inside me told me to go for squarespace so glad I did after reading your comparison.
