Is Wix Studio or Webflow Cheaper?
Wix Studio is better value for money than Webflow due to its generous free plan and powerful AI tools, even though Webflow’s paid plans are slightly cheaper.
How Much Does Wix Studio Cost?
- Wix Studio’s pricing consists of four premium plans ranging from $19 to $159 per month, when billed annually
- Ecommerce functionality is included on the Standard plan and above, which costs $27 per month
- Webflow has a free-forever plan
How Much Does Webflow Cost?
- Webflow’s pricing consists of three premium plans that cost between $14 and $39 per month, when billed annually
- If you want to sell online, you’ll need to use one of Webflow’s three separate ecommerce plans that cost between $29 and $212 per month, when billed annually
- Webflow also has a free-forever plan
Which has the best free plan?
Wix Studio lets you create an unlimited number of free sites with a wide selection of tools. Meanwhile, Webflow’s free plan limits you to creating two two-page sites and has limited access to AI content creation tools.
Wix Studio and Webflow both require you to upgrade for access to a custom domain and ecommerce features. However, Webflow’s free plan feels more like a trial, and you’ll find it hard to create anything past a simple portfolio before upgrading.
Do Wix Studio or Webflow Have AI Features?
While both Wix Studio and Webflow offer AI tools, Wix Studio is the clear winner, providing high-quality Studio-exclusive tools on top of the comprehensive Wix AI features.

- Text: Create and refine titles, headings, and paragraphs
- Collection items: Draft collection items, such as FAQs, blog posts, or services

Is Wix Studio Easier To Use?
Wix Studio is easier to use than Webflow, thanks to its guided setup and advanced features like reusable design kits, custom client permissions, and AI tools for SEO and content creation. Along with smart workflow automations, these tools make it easy for agencies and creatives to build standout websites at scale.
Upon entering Webflow’s editor, it provides a quick tour of the areas. However, Wix Studio’s editor immediately greeted me with a tutorial pop-up, where I could follow along to demos on everything from creating certain effects to working with different layouts.

What Are Webflow and Wix Studio Like To Use? My Experience
After testing the builders as a non-coder myself, Wix Studio is much easier to learn and use than Webflow. Here’s how I got on with both platforms.
What’s the Setup Like?
Upon signing up for both platforms’ free plans – neither of which required credit card details – I was asked a similar set of questions. This included who I was creating my site for and how I wanted to start building.
Both platforms give you a choice in how to start building. You can use a blank page, a template, or an AI building experience, which I decided to try. For Webflow, this was an AI website builder, whereas Wix helped you design an AI site structure.
How Do the AI Tools Differ?
Wix’s AI site structure generator had a more structured setup than Webflow’s AI website builder. Using a mix of dropdown, multiple choice, and open-ended answers, it asks for the:
- Business type, name, location, and target audience
- A description of the business and what makes it unique
- Goals for the website
- Tone of voice for the AI-generated text
As a first time user, this structured approach made me feel confident I was starting off on the right foot by providing all the necessary details about my website.

Webflow’s AI builder asked an open-ended question on my project. In comparison to Wix Studio, this setup is more suited to experienced designers who know the exact facts and information they need to include for the best results.
I used the same business description on both builders to compare results:
“We offer a wide range of high-quality pet supplies, nutritious food, and unique accessories to keep your furry friends happy and healthy. Our knowledgeable staff are passionate about pets and are here to provide expert advice and personalized services.”
Webflow then gave me the chance to add, remove, and reorder elements on my homepage. I was disappointed that the accompanying page illustration wasn’t dynamic, so it was difficult to visualize the impact of my structural changes.

Wix Studio provides a sitemap & wireframe generator for all your website pages at once. I could drag, duplicate, and add Wix page elements – and, unlike my frustration with Webflow’s lack of preview, Wix’s wireframes provided a helpful visualization of my changes.

How Do the Editors Work?
Webflow’s editor separates content creation and design into two areas. For designers working on these areas in two stages, it means you can play around with one without accidentally altering the other. However, the constant switching becomes disruptive when working on these areas simultaneously.

Wix Studio’s drag-and-drop editor is easier to use than the sections-based editor Webflow uses. Wix Studio also has an intuitive sidebar that provides a wide choice of elements, including design kits for different website types. The “Quick add” tab provides easy access to the most commonly used elements, such as text, media, and lines.

Do The Builders Have Section Templates?
Wix Studio and Webflow have a range of section templates to choose from. Webflow offers more flexibility, since you can import additional templates directly into your editor from Webflow Marketplace Libraries. Still, Wix Studio has a wide range of stylish pre-installed section templates available.

Can I Sell Online With Wix Studio or Webflow?
Wix Studio and Webflow both have ecommerce functionality built into some of their plans.
Which Plan Do I Need To Sell?
To sell on Wix Studio, you’ll need to be on the $27 per month Standard plan or above. Meanwhile, Webflow has three separate ecommerce plans, which start at $29 per month.
Wix Studio is better value for online sellers, with cheaper starting prices and a 50,000 product limit on all ecommerce plans. In contrast, Webflow’s cheapest plan only allows 500 products, increasing to 15,000 on its most expensive $212 per month option. So, if you have a lot of products to sell, consider Wix Studio!
Ecommerce Features
Both platforms offer strong ecommerce features, such as customizable checkouts, POS integrations, and social media marketing tools. However, Wix Studio is designed to be an all-in-one solution, whereas you’ll need to install third-party plugins to make the most of Webflow.
While plugins unlock greater customization, installing too many can slow down your site. Plus, paid app costs can quickly add up, especially on top of your monthly website builder subscription.
Ready To Choose?
So, Wix Studio vs Webflow? Wix Studio is the best option for design agencies and creatives looking to design highly-customized, scalable websites at speed – with or without code – thanks to its unified design environment and exclusive AI-driven automations.
Wix Studio’s features let users focus on delivering professional outcomes without technical barriers. While it’s an all-in-one solution, Wix Studio also has a large app marketplace for even further customization.
Webflow is a design powerhouse, with an endless array of customization thanks to its advanced code control. Because of this, Webflow has a steep learning curve and is more suited to experienced designers.
